TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Travelers passing through Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport can experience the atmosphere of the country’s traditional night markets, reports said Tuesday.
The market occupies part of the third-floor departure area in Terminal 2 and will run through Oct. 18, Taoyuan International Airport Corporation said in a statement. Traditional night-market delicacies on offer at the airport include egg cakes, popcorn chicken, and bubble tea, Liberty Times reported.
The area also features three wooden pinball machines and photo opportunities. Passengers can learn about Taiwanese night-market foods through interactive displays in English and Mandarin.
Free egg-cake samples are available daily at 1:30 p.m. to passengers who show their boarding passes, the airport corporation said. DIY activities will also be held each afternoon to promote Taiwan’s night-market culture, per Liberty Times.
