TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Techman Robot showcased a dual-arm system capable of handling up to 100 kg on Wednesday, using heavy server assembly to demonstrate its push into AI manufacturing.
At the Taipei International Industrial Automation Exhibition, Techman’s display also covered semiconductor handling, electronics inspection, and intrafactory logistics. Its robots can use built-in cameras and AI positioning to locate workpieces, reconstruct equipment in 3D, and correct pick-and-place positions when objects shift, per CNA.
Each arm in the TM45S setup is rated for a 50 kg payload. Techman said synchronized operation lets the pair handle large servers and other heavy workpieces that one arm would struggle to deal with, per MoneyDJ.
Factory logistics is one target for the TM Xplore I, which Techman says can retrieve boxes, move materials, and transfer them between workstations. The company is developing the humanoid alongside its existing cobots so AI capabilities tested on one platform, including vision, VLA models, and robot learning, can also be used on the other.
Techman said its compact design can move through tight spaces in a factory, making the robots less of a strain to integrate into existing facilities.
Another focus is the gap between simulation and real-world deployment. Techman’s Real-Sim-Real process starts by sensing and reconstructing a physical environment, tests robot behavior virtually, and then uses AI spatial positioning to deploy the system on actual equipment, according to CNA.
Chief Operating Officer Huang Shih-chung (黃識忠) said the main challenge is still making sure simulated results work correctly in physical reality.
