TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan’s Tourism Administration held two promotional events in Busan between Aug. 6 and 10.
On Aug. 7, it held a business-to-business event at Park Hyatt Busan. More than 40 travel industry representatives and media outlets from major cities in southern South Korea, including Busan, Daegu, and Ulsan, attended the event, according to the administration. They held hundreds of meetings with Taiwanese businesses and representatives to develop and package high-quality Taiwan travel products.
Participants attended a dinner following the event, which featured Taiwanese dishes such as pork slices with garlic sauce and spicy chicken gua bao.
The administration later organized a Taiwan tourism roadshow from Aug. 8-9 at P.ARK, one of Busan’s most popular cultural and arts complexes. Targeting repeat visitors, the event centered on the theme “Taiwan Never Sleeps” and highlighted coffee culture to attract young South Koreans who enjoy cafés and casual bars.
Seventeen exhibitors, including China Airlines, EVA Air, Starlux Airlines, and Tigerair Taiwan, as well as hotels and travel agencies, provided visitors with the latest travel information. Cultural activities included DIY workshops featuring Atayal-inspired woven drink holders and Taiwan-style bubble tea.
