TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan's Sysgration Ltd., a developer and manufacturer of industrial computing and vehicle electronics, reported record monthly revenue in July.
The company posted consolidated revenue of NT$319 million (US$9.9 million) for the month, up 29.2% year-on-year. Revenue for the first seven months of the year also hit a historic high of NT$2.1 billion, an increase of 6.98% from the same period a year earlier, according to CTEE.
The growth was mainly driven by continued shipments of industrial computers and drone-related products, which accounted for about 40% of July revenue. Its tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) business recovered and contributed another 40%, while power and energy system products made up the remaining 20%.
A TPMS monitors tire pressure and alerts drivers when one or more tires are significantly under-inflated, which can create unsafe driving conditions, according to Bridgestone. Existing electric vehicle customers and a new US-based customer began mass production of products using Sysgration's TPMS technology.
Aftermarket sales also recovered as more vehicles reached their tire replacement cycles, while the company's universal TPMS products gained wider adoption. Validation with European automakers is also underway, potentially paving the way for future orders.
Sysgration is also preparing for mass production of battery backup units, which provide immediate backup power to electronic systems when a primary power source fails. The company expects its BBU business to contribute to double-digit revenue growth this year.
Sysgration expects overall performance to improve quarter by quarter in the second half. Institutional investors said the company's investments in server power systems and edge-computing applications such as drones are beginning to contribute to its operating performance as its role in the AI supply chain expands, according to Yahoo Stocks.
