TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Starlux Airlines is rescheduling flights between Taichung and Japan on Wednesday as Typhoon Dolphin approaches.
While the storm’s precise path remained unclear Tuesday, it was expected to move westward over Okinawa at the start of the weekend. To avoid the worst of the windy conditions, Starlux decided to adjust Wednesday flight times between Taichung and the Japanese destinations of Okinawa and Kumamoto, per Liberty Times.
Flight JX312 from Taichung to Okinawa will take off at 2:10 p.m. instead of 4:40 p.m., with return flight JX313 leaving Okinawa at 5:40 p.m. instead of 8:10 p.m.
Flight JX316 from Taichung to Kumamoto will leave at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday instead of its previously scheduled 3 p.m. departure. Flight JX317 from Kumamoto to Taichung, originally scheduled for 7:15 p.m., will leave Kumamoto at 8:30 p.m., Liberty Times reported.
Starlux advised passengers booked on flights over the next few days to monitor schedule changes on the airline’s website.
