TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Topco Scientific Co. reported second-quarter revenue exceeding NT$20 billion (US$618.2 million) for the first time, driven by strong demand for semiconductor-related materials.
The company posted consolidated revenue of NT$20.83 billion in the second quarter, up 22.6% from the same period a year earlier. First-half consolidated revenue reached NT$39.36 billion, an increase of 20.2% year-on-year, according to CTEE.
Topco said it expects continued expansion in advanced semiconductor manufacturing and advanced packaging to support demand for related materials and services in the second half of the year. Products including photoresists, silicon wafers, polishing liquids, and facility engineering services are expected to benefit from the growth.
The company is a semiconductor materials and components integrator that has long represented major suppliers such as Japan’s Shin-Etsu Chemical Co. Topco’s largest semiconductor customer is TSMC, according to Pocket Securities.
Its product portfolio includes silicon wafers, photoresists, specialty gases, polishing liquids, and equipment. The company also provides environmental engineering and green energy services, including wastewater treatment, chemical storage, and recycling.
As chipmakers such as TSMC and Samsung Electronics advance their manufacturing processes, they increasingly rely on specialized chemicals and gases to maintain production quality. Electronic chemicals, including photoresists, etching solutions, and cleaning solutions, are essential to wafer fabrication and must meet strict requirements for purity and consistency, according to Business Next.
