TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan is holding a traveling higher education fair across Indonesia to attract Indonesian students to study at Taiwanese universities.
The first stop was in Jakarta. More than 12,000 people attended the Saturday event, the Federation of Taiwan Alumni Associations in Indonesia said, per CNA.
Now in its 10th year, the fair was co-organized with support from Taiwan’s Ministry of Education. It features 65 universities and colleges from Taiwan and 165 institutional representatives.
Federation President Liu Chun-yi (劉俊逸) said the alumni federation helps Indonesian students learn about study opportunities in Taiwan and uses the fair to promote exchanges between students and Taiwanese higher education institutions.
The fair opened in Bandung on Monday and will continue in Semarang on Tuesday, according to the Taiwan Overseas Joint Admissions Committee in Indonesia. It will then travel to Surabaya from Thursday to Friday and Medan on Sunday.
