TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che (黃偉哲) led a delegation of Taiwanese manufacturers to Poland on Tuesday to promote cooperation in artificial intelligence and robotics.
The Tainan City Government said the delegation includes companies such as Techman, the UK’s Bellwether Advanced Mobility Solutions, Motionnex, Photoply, Ying Han Technology, and Ultra Linear Frame. The city government said the visit aims to help the firms connect with Polish partners through technology exchanges and joint investment.
Huang said the trip is intended to promote Tainan’s city image, agriculture, and industrial matchmaking. His itinerary includes visits to local agencies, enterprises, and technology parks.
Huang met with city and trade officials, including Gdansk Mayor Aleksandra Dulkiewicz and Pomerania Development Agency President Slawomir Kosakowski. The two sides exchanged views on cultural, commercial, and industrial cooperation.
Pomerania is located on Poland’s Baltic coast, with Gdansk as its capital and Gdynia as another major city. The region is known for shipping, trade, and shipbuilding and has expanded into a technology hub for semiconductors, AI, and other high-tech industries, attracting global firms including Intel, SK Hynix, and Spain’s Openchip.
