TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Transportation Minister Chen Shih-kai (陳世凱) visited the works at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport Terminal 3 and the A14 Airport Mass Rapid Transit station on Wednesday.
Following his tour, he remarked on his Facebook page that work on both related projects was speeding up. The terminal and MRT station were crucial projects for the nation’s gateway, and people have been looking forward to their completion, he said.
The government hopes both transportation projects can be finished by the end of 2027, per CNA. Chen described the work as complicated due to shortages of labor and raw materials, and assigning different crews to work simultaneously. Work could only progress when all the elements had been carefully coordinated, he said on Facebook.
Chen said he told the working crews to reconsider current arrangements and work hard toward a timely completion of the projects. He said he also asked Taoyuan International Airport Corporation to set up working spaces in a way that would improve efficiency.
