TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Chunghwa Precision Test posted a record Q2 revenue of NT$1.64 billion (US$56.8 million), as AI chip demand continued to drive growth in semiconductor testing interfaces.
The semiconductor wafer testing solutions provider reported consolidated revenue of NT$574 million for June, up 5.8% from May and 40.2% from a year earlier, per UDN. Q2 revenue reached a record NT$1.6 billion, rising 20.8% quarter-on-quarter and 34.9% year-on-year, while first-half revenue climbed to a record NT$3 billion, up 26.6%.
The company said AI and high-performance computing have become its largest and fastest-growing business segments. It added that testing interfaces have evolved from back-end manufacturing components into critical technologies for advanced semiconductor packaging and testing.
Looking ahead, Chunghwa Precision expects expanding AI applications to continue driving demand for GPUs, CPUs and ASICs. The company said it will expand production capacity and deepen customer partnerships as it pursues a record-high annual revenue.
Meanwhile, IC substrate maker Nan Ya PCB reported June revenue of NT$4.7 billion, up 5.5% from May and 50% from a year earlier, marking its second-highest June on record, per CNA. Q2 revenue totaled NT$13.6 billion, while first-half revenue reached NT$27.4 billion, both the second-highest for their respective periods.
Nan Ya PCB has forecast further sequential growth in revenue and earnings in the second half of the year. The company said AI-related products now account for more than half of its revenue and expects continued growth as it expands capacity.
