TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Due to work on the new Terminal 3, Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport is adding a new free shuttle bus service between terminals, reports said Tuesday.
The buses started operating 24 hours a day from Monday at 6 a.m., per CNA. The frequency of the buses is one every 15 minutes between 6 a.m. and 10:59 p.m., and one every 20 minutes between 11 p.m. and 5:59 a.m.
The service is free for travelers and personnel. An alternative is the Airport Mass Rapid Transit service, according to Taoyuan International Airport Corporation. The airport MRT is also free between Terminal 1, Terminal 2, and Airport Hotel Station for airline passengers.
Travelers can use electronic stored-value cards, credit cards, third-party payments, or electronic payments to move between the three stations free of charge.
The new shuttle bus service and the airport MRT program were designed to provide alternatives to travelers after landside pre-security Skytrain services between the terminals were ended Wednesday due to construction work for Terminal 3, CNA reported. The Skytrain airside post-security trains are still operating after July 1.
