TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Foxconn announced Monday a strategic partnership with France-based Schneider Electric to develop and scale next-generation artificial intelligence data centers, aiming to standardize global AI infrastructure.
Foxconn said in a statement that the two companies will jointly develop a reference architecture for AI data centers and explore closed-loop energy optimization, modular power and cooling systems, and standardized design frameworks. The goal is to create highly repeatable, high-performance “AI factory” models to accelerate global deployment of AI infrastructure, according to a Foxconn press release.
Foxconn said the collaboration lays the groundwork for scalable and energy-efficient infrastructure to meet rapidly growing demand in the AI era. The company emphasized the need for systems that can expand efficiently while maintaining performance and sustainability.
Foxconn Chair Young Liu (劉揚偉) said combining Foxconn’s strengths in AI systems and global manufacturing with Schneider Electric’s expertise in power and energy will enable more efficient and scalable AI deployment for customers. He added that the partnership is aimed at delivering integrated solutions tailored for large-scale AI applications.
Schneider Electric CEO Olivier Blum said AI demand continues to accelerate, and the energy systems supporting expanding computing capacity are becoming a critical driver, according to a Schneider Electric press release. He said reliable AI development depends on seamless integration across systems, with intelligent energy management playing a central role.
Blum said the partnership will help enterprise customers build infrastructure with greater speed, resilience, and efficiency as they transition into the AI era. He added that aligning computing and energy systems is essential to sustaining long-term AI growth, per CNA.
