TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport will suspend its landside Skytrain service linking Terminal 1 and 2 from July 1 due to Terminal 3 connection work.
It said passengers traveling between terminals 1 and 2 in the non-controlled area can instead use the Taoyuan Airport MRT or a 24-hour shuttle bus service, per Liberty Times. The Airport MRT serves both Terminal 1 and 2 stations, and the shuttle bus provides transfers between them.
Since its launch in 2003, the Skytrain has offered free transport for passengers and airport staff between terminals, per UDN. The service runs at intervals of two to six minutes from 5 a.m. to midnight.
The company said that while landside inter-terminal service will cease in July, Skytrain operations within the airside will continue.
