TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – TM Technology said Wednesday that it has launched its first humanoid robot capable of interacting with the physical world.
TM Technology has historically focused on integrated circuit design but has transformed operations with support from its parent company, the Yinglin Group. It has expanded into construction, green energy, and smart manufacturing, per the TM Technology.
The robot's debut marks the company’s first step into embodied intelligence, with hardware and software integrated into a broader intelligent platform strategy.
The robot is an amalgamation of AI, advanced manufacturing, biomimetic structures, and sensing technologies. Its architecture includes a “brain” for semantic understanding and decision-making. It has a “cerebellum” for balance and motion control, and a perception system using 3D vision, LiDAR and force sensors, per TM Technology's confirmation to Taiwan News.
With multi-degree-of-freedom joints and dexterous robotic hands, the robot can perform tasks such as transport, inspection, assembly, and precision operations. It has moved beyond passive execution toward adaptive, learning-based interaction with its surroundings.
TM Technology said this development positions robots as active agents capable of responding dynamically to real-world needs.
The launch signals TM Technology’s transition from hardware manufacturing to integrated intelligent platforms. It is targeting future opportunities in factories, logistics and service sectors. Advances in AI models, sensors, and motion components are expected to accelerate commercialization.
Deployment is likely to begin in industrial and logistics settings, with longer-term applications in healthcare, caregiving, and household services, per TM Technology.
