TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Kaohsiung will hold a new media career fair on May 28, with 24 companies offering more than 100 jobs and monthly pay of up to NT$80,000 (US$2,530), CNA reported.
The city’s Youth Bureau said the event will take place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Fongshan Administration Center. It said the fair aims to connect young job seekers with employers looking for digital and technology talent.
The openings cover new media, digital marketing, artificial intelligence applications, brand planning, e-commerce, and project management. Some positions also allow remote work.
Participating companies and groups include the Institute for Information Industry’s artificial intelligence research unit, Dream Mall, Ever Rich Duty Free, the Taiwan Steel Eagles baseball team, and Hi-Lai Foods. The employers come from technology, retail, e-commerce, sports, and food service.
UDN reported that online retailer Hour Loop is offering positions with monthly pay of nearly NT$80,000 and flexible remote work. The Institute for Information Industry’s artificial intelligence research unit is hiring workers for AI tool development and project management.
Youth Bureau Director Lin Kai-hsuan (林楷軒) said demand is growing for workers with new media, digital marketing, and technology skills. He said the city’s new media talent training center provides training, certification, and job matching to help young people advance their careers.
The event will also offer free one-on-one resume checks. Industry managers and career advisers will give 25-minute consultations to help job seekers improve their resumes and interview skills.
Industry experts will also speak about career paths for new media marketing workers in the AI era. They will explain what skills companies are looking for as AI changes digital marketing work.
