TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — MediaTek has earned the Excellence in Practice Award from the Association for Talent Development for its onboarding program, the company said Tuesday.
The yearlong program pairs new executives with mentors during their first three months, giving them hands-on experience and exposure to leadership meetings, per CNA. The goal is to help new leaders quickly adapt to MediaTek's corporate culture and become effective in their roles.
From months four to six, the company conducts onboarding workshops and 360-degree feedback reviews. These are combined with structured coaching to help executives refine leadership styles using data-driven assessments.
In the second half of the first year, direct supervisors evaluate performance and track key performance indicators to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and operational goals.
MediaTek said the program has achieved a senior talent retention rate of more than 90%. It added that over the past five years, new executive hires have strengthened research and development and business capabilities, contributing to product competitiveness and revenue growth.
