TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Advantech announced Thursday a new five-year strategy centered on AI-driven supply chain transformation and expanded investment abroad.
Advantech Chair Liu Ke-chen (劉克振) said the company plans to fully digitalize its supply chain between 2026 and 2030 using AI agents to improve efficiency and provide real-time order visibility, per CNA. He said Advantech will also build a global headquarters model to accelerate expansion.
Speaking ahead of Computex next month, Liu said Advantech will integrate its global partner conference with exhibition activities for the first time under the theme “Edge Computing and AI-Powered Wise Solutions.” He also said Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang (黃仁勳) will visit Advantech’s booth during the event but a time had not been confirmed, per TVBS.
Advantech also announced several overseas expansion projects. The company is building a new headquarters in Tustin, California, expected to open later this year. The US market accounts for about 30% of company revenue, driven partly by semiconductor equipment demand.
In Japan, Advantech has acquired Omron Nohgata in Fukuoka, and is constructing a new backup manufacturing site scheduled to begin operations in 2028. The facility will focus on design and production for Japanese customers and becomes the company’s third production base outside Taiwan and China.
Advantech is also expanding domestically with a new facility in Linkou’s Huaya Technology Park that is expected to double Taiwan production capacity once operational. Liu added that despite ongoing shortages of DRAM, flash memory, and CPUs, Advantech’s profit margins allow it to secure component supply more effectively than competitors.
