TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The Chapter, located on the ground floor of Eslite Hotel in Taipei, has introduced a seasonal afternoon tea designed to blend modern leisure with Italian viticulture.
“Flora’s Tipsy Afternoon Tea” features a three-tier selection of English-style savories and sweets paired with sparkling wine.
Designed by the hotel’s award-winning pastry team, the menu balances marine freshness with seasonal acidity.
The savory tier begins with a scallop and salmon roe rice cracker and an avocado mousse profiterole with caviar. In a nod to local flavors, the chef has included seared mullet roe with apple jam and a savory mullet roe canele, blending traditional Taiwanese ingredients with French pastry techniques.
The dessert selection focuses on the brightness of early summer fruit. Highlights include a mango yogurt mousse, strawberry and pistachio chocolate, and a peach panna cotta with a delicate texture and floral aroma.
The set is available daily from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. for NT$1,500 (US$50) plus a 10% service charge. To cater to the growing "afternoon sparkling wine" trend, guests may upgrade to unlimited pours of Canella Prosecco D.O.C.G. for an additional NT$499 plus service charge.
The featured Canella Prosecco D.O.C.G. hails from Italy’s Veneto region. Made from 100% Glera grapes using the traditional Charmat method, the wine offers a bright, clear body with a bouquet of white peach, pear, and apple.
Eslite Hotel is positioned as a hub for culture, art, and nature, connected to the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park and the 24-hour Eslite Spectrum bookstore.
The hotel’s location provides proximity to major Taipei landmarks, including the Taipei Dome and Taipei 101, making it a central destination for international and local travelers.
