TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Asus Chair Shih Chung-tang (施崇棠) said Tuesday the company will ramp up investments in edge and physical AI to capture growth.
Shih said the company expects a new wave of expansion as AI shifts from early development to real-world deployment, per CNA. He said Asus is positioning itself to benefit when industry conditions mature.
He said Asus will push forward its AI strategy as applications expand into inference and agent-based systems. The company plans to deepen investment in edge and physical AI to strengthen its long-term competitiveness.
Shih also noted Asus’ leading position in gaming motherboards and graphics cards, along with its fast-growing AI server business. These strengths, he said, underpin the company’s confidence that it can outperform the broader industry.
On internal operations, Shih said Asus will accelerate AI adoption across teams to boost efficiency. The company is optimizing workflows and deploying AI tools to improve productivity across projects, he added.
Despite challenges last year, Asus reported a group revenue of NT$738.9 billion (US$23.4 billion) last year, up 26% year-on-year, per UDN. Net profit after tax was NT$44.6 billion, up 42%, both record highs.
