TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Pegatron expects revenue growth to be driven mainly by rising demand for AI infrastructure, which will lift orders for its server, automotive, and networking products, CNA reported.
The company said it will expand manufacturing of Nvidia’s AI server and data center hardware solutions, including AI servers and racks that use liquid cooling instead of fans to support the operation of advanced AI chips.
The company noted revenue from its server products is expected to continue expanding in the US, Asia, and European markets. It added it will continue offering customized board, system, and rack designs.
Pegatron Co-CEO Cheng Kuang-chih (鄭光志) said AI server shipments saw significant growth starting in the fourth quarter of last year. He expects shipments in the segment could grow as much as tenfold this year.
Pegatron also plans to expand its laptop line to increase market share, forecasting that rising demand for AI PCs will boost shipments. It is also monitoring the impact of memory shortages and price increases on demand to adjust production capacity.
It noted that networking product sales began recovering in the second half of last year and expects further growth driven by demand for WiFi 7 and 5G networks. Compared with WiFi 6, WiFi 7 offers faster speeds, more stable transmission, and lower latency.
Pegatron is expanding its EV business, with key products including electronic control units, in-vehicle computers, and driver assistance systems. Its subsidiary Unimax also focuses on automotive electronic components.
The company added that EV charging power management systems are a key focus area. It has also developed radar-based systems to help cyclists monitor their surroundings.
Pegatron Chair Tung Tzu-hsien (童子賢) said the company has expanded into robotics R&D covering hardware, software, and components. It has also built a robotics testing site and adopted digital twin technology to improve robot training.
