TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Quanta Computer Inc. achieved a record NT$2 trillion (US$63.53 billion) in revenue last year by transforming itself from a laptop manufacturer to a provider of AI servers, reports said Saturday.
The company marked its 38th anniversary by hosting a family day for more than 10,000 employees and their relatives at its headquarters in Linkou, New Taipei Saturday, per CNA. Despite global uncertainty and regional conflicts, business prospects for 2026 looked good, according to top executives.
Chair Barry Lam (林百里) and Vice Chair C. C. Leung (梁次震) addressed staff, promising the company was set to continue its growth. Revenue for the first quarter reached NT$809.22 billion, or 66.62% more than in the same period last year, Leung said.
The rapid pace of growth accompanied a change in Quanta’s image from a laptop manufacturer to a producer of AI servers. Last year, servers were responsible for 70% of revenue, and 70% of those were AI servers, CNA reported.
In 2026, the share of servers in Quanta’s revenue was expected to rise to 80%, with 80% AI servers, the company said. As a result, two thirds of Quanta’s revenue would be provided by the server business.
