TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Time is running out for two winners to each claim half of a NT$1.35 billion (US$43.07 million) top prize in the Super Lotto, reports said Wednesday.
Since the drawing was held on Feb. 12, the last possible date to go and pick up the money will be May 12, the Liberty Times reported. The winning tickets were bought in Hsinchu City and in New Taipei’s Banqiao District, Taiwan Lottery Co. said on its Facebook page, but otherwise little is known about the winners.
Each of the winners had spent NT$100 on a ticket, with the numbers chosen by the computer system. One of them bought the winning ticket on Feb. 11, the other on Feb. 12, the day of the drawing. The winning numbers were 06, 10, 22, 25. 32. 35, while the special number was 03.
If no winner shows up to claim their NT$677 million share during the next 20 days, the sum will set a record for an unclaimed prize. Until now, NT$250 million was the highest amount, from a drawing in April 2008, according to the Liberty Times.
