TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — New Taipei City will celebrate the first anniversary of the New Taipei Art Museum on April 25-26 with concerts and a synchronized fireworks and 300-drone show, while officials have also highlighted four prime viewing locations.
The New Taipei Cultural Affairs Department on Thursday said the events will take place in the museum’s outdoor park, with markets and concerts scheduled for both days, per CNA. Singers such as Ann (白安), Bii (畢書盡), and Cosmos People (宇宙人) will take the stage, with the “Echoes of Light” fireworks and drone show serving as the evening finale.
The department said the nighttime program is centered on a “dual-stage in the sky,” featuring synchronized fireworks and drone performances. Each show will launch more than 2,500 fireworks in cascading, waterfall-like displays, alongside peony- and chrysanthemum-style aerial effects, while 300 drones form images inspired by the cultural heritage of New Taipei’s Sanxia and Yingge districts.
The department added that the museum’s outdoor park offers the best viewing experience for the show. Other recommended spots for more distant views include the Sanying Water Resource Recycling Center, Yingge Bilong Temple, and Yuanshan Rock in Sanxia.
