TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation said its AI-powered smart platform is boosting production and energy efficiency after decades of effort, CNA reported Tuesday.
AIDC said it won the Digital Transformation Award at last year’s IT Matters Awards under the guidance of the Ministry of Digital Affairs. AIDC President Shuang Hsiu-mei (莊秀美) accepted the recognition during a meeting with President Lai Ching-te (賴清德) on Monday, per MoneyDJ.
The company highlighted its AIxWare platform, which integrates AIoT and manufacturing. It also incorporates ESG principles and cybersecurity features and has been commercialized.
AIDC said the platform enables real-time monitoring of machine data and uses AI to support decision-making. It also applies generative AI to provide visualization and predictive analysis.
The system has connected more than 60 brands and over 2,000 machines and controllers, improving production line utilization by about 20% on average, per Anue. It has also reduced annual energy consumption by more than 8%, the company said.
AIDC said it has deployed 77 generative AI applications, saving around 130,000 work hours annually. The platform has supported digital transformation in precision machining, plastic injection molding, and medical devices, it said.
As part of its cybersecurity push, AIDC said it is the first company in Taiwan to obtain the US’s CMMC Level 2 certification. The certification reflects compliance with military-grade cybersecurity standards for participation in global defense supply chains.
