TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Former Czech Chamber of Deputies Speaker Marketa Pekarova Adamova led a delegation from her country’s drone industry to visit a research center in Chiayi County on Wednesday.
Chiayi County Magistrate Weng Chang-liang (翁章梁) and representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and from Taiwan’s drone manufacturing sector met her group at the Asia UAV AI Innovation Application R&D Center, per CNA. The aim is to discuss the possibility of cooperation projects.
Taiwan excelled at semiconductors, information and communications, and integrated manufacturing for unmanned aerial vehicles, according to ministry officials. The Czech Republic on the other hand established a reputation for advanced sensing technology and aerospace propulsion systems.
Taiwan’s wealth of experience in engineering and manufacturing as well as its extensive research and development capabilities made it an excellent partner for the Czech drone sector, Adamova said. Weng also emphasized that the complementarity of the two countries’ UAV industries made them suitable partners.
