TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — To celebrate Children’s Day, Taipei Rapid Transit Corp. announced Tuesday that it will offer a range of perks for children in Taipei and New Taipei, including free access to major transportation and attractions over the coming long weekend.
From April 3 to 6, elementary school students under 12 who hold a Taipei Digital Student Card or a New Taipei Children’s Card can ride local MRT lines for free, per Liberty Times. They can also obtain free Maokong Gondola passes allowing unlimited rides throughout the day.
In addition, children nationwide can gain free entry to Taipei Children’s Amusement Park and Taipei Arena Ice Land by presenting a student ID or National Health Insurance card. At Taipei Children’s Amusement Park, one accompanying adult may also enter free, though ride fees still apply.
Skating at Taipei Arena Ice Land is free, but skate and protective gear rentals are charged separately.
