TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Yongkang Station in Tainan has been given a baseball-themed makeover by Taiwan Railway and the Uni-President Lions.
The launch coincides with the opening of the Asia-Pacific International Baseball Training Center’s main stadium in Tainan’s Annan District, which will be the Lions’ new home. Yongkang Station serves as the area’s main transit hub and is just a 15-minute shuttle ride away, according to Top Sporting News Agency.
Team and player visuals are featured throughout the facility. Taiwan Railway said the collaboration aims to promote professional baseball and sports tourism.
Taiwan Railway and the Lions have coordinated shuttle bus services between the station and Heshun Transfer Station. The service allows fans to reach the stadium while helping reduce parking and traffic congestion.
To celebrate the Lions’ first game at the stadium on Sunday, Taiwan Railway will hold a one-day pop-up sale with a special bento and exclusive merchandise. This season, the Lions have introduced a collectible stamp booklet with a commemorative stamp at the station for fans to add to their collection.
