TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – The Tourism Administration has opened a Taiwan Pavilion Friday at a major Singapore travel fair to attract more visitors from Southeast Asia.
Taiwan is represented at the March 27-29 NATAS Travel 2026 – Singapore Expo by 74 businesses from the tourism sector, per CNA. The event is the largest expo in Singapore during the first half of the year.
While “Waves of Wonder” is still the main motto, the catchphrase “Taiwan – One Hundred Ways” promoted 100 itineraries to enjoy culture and food. The pavilion featured DIY activities related to Taiwan’s Indigenous cultures and performances by Focasa Circus.
A meeting on Monday afternoon will allow businesspeople from the tourism and travel sectors of both countries to exchange ideas and pave the way for new cooperation projects.
Taiwan welcomed 33,064 visitors from overseas in January, a jump of 38.7% from the same month in 2025. A significant proportion hailed from Singapore and Southeast Asia, officials said.
The Tourism Administration is hopeful its presence at the travel fair will encourage even more tourists from the region to head to Taiwan. Singapore Airlines recently announced it had increased its number of weekly flights to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport to 18 from 14.
