TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — A FamilyMart customer who spent NT$39 (US$1.22) won the NT$10 million Special Prize in the latest edition of the Taiwan receipt lottery.
On Wednesday, the Ministry of Finance announced the winning numbers for the January-February lottery round. The winning numbers were 87510041 for the Special Prize, 32220522 for the NT$2 million Grand Prize, and 21677046, 44662410, and 31262513 for the NT$200,000 First Prize.
At FamilyMart, seven consumers won major prizes across stores in New Taipei, Yilan, Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Taichung, Tainan, and Pingtung, per CNA. One winner bought two bottles of tea for NT$39 at a store in Pingtung, while another purchased water, tea, and coffee for NT$80 in Yilan County's Dongshan Township.
Two Grand Prizes were awarded at stores in New Taipei's Yingge District and Taichung's Dali District. One winner spent NT$119 on a pasta meal and green tea, and another bought 10 large iced Americanos for NT$300.
At 7-Eleven, three consumers won the Special Prize, with the one who spent the least buying daily necessities for NT$39 in Taipei's Zhongzheng District. Another consumer spent NT$80 on sweet potatoes, tea eggs, and a drink in New Taipei's Banqiao District.
The third 7-Eleven Special Prize winner spent NT$130 on daily necessities in Taichung's Daya District. Three Grand Prizes were awarded in Taoyuan, Tianan, and Kaohsiung.
PX Mart issued one Special Prize and one Grand Prize. The Special Prize was won in Taichung's West District with a NT$65 purchase of soy milk and tofu, and the Grand Prize went to a customer in Taipei's Wenshan District after a NT$446 purchase of a braised food platter, instant noodles, and beverages.
Hi-Life reported one Grand Prize in Kaohsiung's Linyuan District, where the winner spent only NT$35 on red envelopes.
