TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Afternoon tea at W Taipei’s Woobar takes inspiration from luxury skincare this season, with shimmering edible pearls and cobalt-blue accents echoing the aesthetic of La Prairie’s iconic caviar collection.
The experience draws inspiration from the Swiss luxury skincare brand’s signature color palette and caviar-themed ingredients. It features seven sweet and savory creations that reflect La Prairie’s essence, each paired with a choice of themed cocktail or mocktail.
Desserts feature the butter poached pear yougurt mousse, which wraps sweet pear compote in airy yogurt mousse. The treat is finished with Valrhona white chocolate pearls.
The jasmine chantilly angel cake showcases an almond tart topped with jasmine-infused chantilly cream piped into caviar-like spheres. A delicate touch of gold leaf completes the elegant finish.
Flourless lemon cream cheesecake is adorned with cobalt-blue chocolate and translucent edible pearls. Bright lemon zest and juice enhance its fresh flavor.

Mont blanc, raspberry coulis reinterprets the classic French dessert with a tangy cranberry core and chestnut mousse. Silky chestnut cream is piped on top and finished with powdered sugar and dried rose petals.
Savory creations echo the same precision. Cod liver pate, cream cheese, white wine vinegar pearls pairs a velvety spread of cod liver and cream cheese in a crisp pastry shell, accented with shimmering translucent edible pearls.
Caviar potato pave, grana padano layers 20 thin slices of potato with cheese to create a rich, structured bite. Lace tuile and caviar add texture and a savory finish.
Meanwhile, apple and dill king crab tartare, zucchini roll combines sweet king crab, crisp apple, and dill mayonnaise. The mixture is wrapped in delicate zucchini slices for a refreshing balance of flavors.

Signature beverages include the gradient blue Caviar Luxe, inspired by La Prairie’s cobalt-blue caviar bottle. Jasmine tea–infused vodka unfolds with subtle yuzu juice and spiced syrup, topped with mango popping pearls and mint leaves.
Golden-hued Time Reversed blends nostalgic Taiwanese flavors with modern mixology. It combines oolong tea–infused gin with winter melon and lemongrass syrup, honey, and winter melon oolong tea, while sago pearls mimic the texture of caviar.
For a non-alcoholic option, Eternal Infusion reinterprets the classic Pina Colada in a refined, alcohol-free version, reflecting the pure white aesthetic of La Prairie’s White Caviar collection. Pineapple juice, coconut syrup, almond syrup, lime juice, and milk create a smooth, tropical profile with delicate nutty and honeyed undertones.

Available daily from 2–5 p.m. through May 31, the set is priced at NT$2,599 (US$81) for two guests. It includes an exclusive skincare set valued at over NT$10,000 and a 50-minute facial voucher.
