TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Starlux Airlines said Thursday it has been ranked 5th globally, marking the highest ever listing for a Taiwanese carrier.
The internationally recognized organization Airline Ratings released its 2026 World's Best Airline list, highlighting Starlux for both its overall excellence and awarding it the “World's Best In-Flight Catering,” per CNA.
Airline Ratings described Starlux as “one of the standout movers this year.” It said that “with strong cabin service, high-quality catering, and modern interiors,” Starlux is quickly carving out a reputation as a premium competitor, particularly as it prepares to expand into Europe later this year.
The World’s Best Airlines evaluation focuses on passengers’ actual in-flight product and experience. It selects winners based on measurable onboard standards rather than popularity or voting
In January, Starlux was also ranked 11th in Airline Ratings’ World’s Safest Airlines list.
Starlux Airlines said that its fleet is expected to reach 43 aircraft by the end of the year, significantly increasing capacity.
Its route network covers 31 cities with 37 routes and this year will see the launch of its first European destination, Prague, and first South Korean destination, Busan, further expanding its global network.
Taiwan's EVA Air also made the list of the world's best full-service airlines in 11th place.
