TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Aerospace Industrial Development Corp. is pushing the boundaries of aircraft materials at the JEC World exhibition in Paris.
The aerospace and defense company made its debut at the three-day event as part of the Taiwan pavilion, per CNA. It displayed nine products featuring thermoplastic composite collaboration and thermoset composite manufacturing.
The show saw over 1,300 companies from more than 100 countries, per Liberty Times. AIDC Chair Tsao Chin-ping (曹進平) led the delegation and held meetings with international firms. Taiwan representative to France, Hao Pei-chih (郝培芝) made a brief visit.
Tsao said the company’s technologies focus on making aircraft “lighter, faster, and more sustainable,” offering low-waste solutions for civil aviation, military aircraft, and drones, and supporting global net-zero carbon goals by 2050.
AIDC highlighted thermoplastic innovations, including a curved door panel with fastener-free joining and a multi-bend wing rib that maintains fiber integrity while shortening production cycles. Thermoset composites included domestically produced drone wings and components for the Airbus A320.
With its Taiwan Advanced Composites Center, AIDC said it is investing in high-end composite components for next-generation aircraft. Founded in 1965, JEC World provides a networking hub for the composite value chain and runs Tuesday to Thursday.
