TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan Cement Corporation has launched a talent program offering annual salaries starting above NT$1 million (US$31,000) for cross-disciplinary professionals.
Business Today reported Tuesday that the company plans to recruit about 10 people with international mobility and expertise in fields such as digital intelligence, energy storage, and low-carbon materials.
TCC Chair Nelson Chang (張安平) said geopolitical tensions and energy price volatility have made the business environment unpredictable. Companies must understand global developments and make accurate strategic decisions in such an environment, he said, according to Commerical Times.
Yahoo News reported that the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2023–2027 found that about 44% of workers’ core skills are expected to change within five years. The report said cognitive flexibility and complex problem-solving will be key skills in the future workforce.
TCC Chief Human Resources Officer Liu Feng-ping (劉鳳萍) said the program focuses on seven areas, including digital intelligence leadership, energy storage projects, and AI-related initiatives. Salaries start at more than NT$1 million per year, with no upper limit.
Applicants must have strong English skills, while additional languages such as Portuguese or French are considered an advantage. The company also announced more than 100 job openings worldwide in sectors including cement production, energy storage, and power.
