TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwanese restaurant chain Bafang Yunji reported record financial results and outlined plans to expand both domestically and in the US, where it aims to operate more than 20 outlets by the end of 2026.
The dumpling and potsticker brand posted NT$8.79 billion (US$275 million) in revenue last year, a 9.51% increase from the previous year, while net profit reached NT$856 million and earnings per share came in at NT$12.84, per CNA.
Growth overseas is expected to continue this year. The company currently operates 13 locations in the US and is pursuing further development in California, Texas, and Arizona, with several new Texas stores nearing the contract stage.
In Taiwan, the chain plans to increase its footprint while closing weaker-performing outlets. Management said it hopes to end 2026 with a net addition of about 30 domestic stores, per the report.
As of the end of 2025, the Bafang Yunji brand had 1,033 locations worldwide, while its sister brand Liang She Han Paigu operated 248 restaurants.
The company will return most of last year’s earnings to shareholders. For the second half of 2025, directors approved an NT$8 dividend per share, made up of NT$7.50 in cash and an additional NT$0.5 in shares.
That share component is new for Bafang Yunji. Added to the NT$4 per share already distributed for the first half of the year, the full-year payout comes to NT$12, or roughly 93.5% of annual earnings, per the report.
The company also plans to broaden digital ordering and retail sales channels, including wider use of its online ordering system and self-service kiosks at stores.
