TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — HTC’s artificial intelligence-powered smart glasses, Vive Eagle, are now available in Singapore, marking the company’s latest step in expanding its global footprint.
The launch comes through a partnership with local telecom provider Singtel, following the same approach used in Taiwan. The glasses are available both in stores and online, aiming to offer consumers a complete experience from hands-on demonstration to purchase, according to CNA.
Vive Eagle packs a suite of AI features, including a smart assistant, voice interaction, instant translation, and advanced photography capabilities. The glasses can also connect to popular AI chatbots, including Google Gemini and OpenAI GPT (Beta).
The Singapore release follows earlier launches in Taiwan in September and Hong Kong in December, where a recent software update added support for Cantonese voice input. HTC said ongoing software improvements and local collaborations will continue to enhance user experience while broadening its presence in overseas markets.
The launch also reflects strengthening economic ties between Taiwan and Singapore. A report from Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry, cited by Vigor Media, shows that Taiwan became Singapore’s largest trading partner last year, surpassing both China and Malaysia.
Around 80% of Taiwan’s exports to Singapore are semiconductors and related products. Roughly 60% of Singapore’s exports to Taiwan consist of semiconductor equipment and intermediate goods.
