TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The Hong Kong caviar brand favored by Michelin-starred chefs announced Thursday the soft opening of its first overseas flagship store, Royal Caviar Club Taipei.
Set to begin operations March 13 in the Minsheng Community, the launch is in tandem with the brand's expansions in London and Dubai.
The opening integrates Taipei into the international ultra-luxury market. Founder Oxana Dragun described the physical space as a "love letter to Taiwan," designed to extend caviar culture from elite dining tables to a sophisticated everyday aesthetic.
Royal Caviar Club is rebranding caviar as a comprehensive luxury lifestyle. It will shift focus toward cross-disciplinary collaborations in extreme sports and motor racing, challenging the traditional view of caviar as a static dining experience.
The store features an interior palette of deep navy blue. The design utilizes brushed metal and silver foil to echo the luster of caviar, creating an atmosphere of "when the extraordinary becomes everyday" through textured coatings and natural wood grains.
To celebrate the Taipei opening, the brand is debuting pistachio caviar cheesecake, a Taiwan-exclusive dessert. The creation layers pistachio mousse, crumbles, and jam with silky Hokkaido cheese, balancing nutty aromas with the subtle salinity of premium caviar.
Additionally, the brand will introduce its caviar mochi, a world-first that blends Japanese Wagashi craftsmanship with top-tier caviar.
The store includes a private salon for caviar masterclasses, where specialists guide guests through origins and tasting standards. For social gatherings, the caviar afternoon service allows groups of four to explore pairings ranging from classic servings to champagne and vodka combinations.
Coinciding with the launch, Royal Caviar Club appointed award-winning chef Lu Chiao-yin (陸巧因 ) as general manager for Taiwan. Lu will oversee a strategy focused on aesthetic cultural education and sensory innovation.
