TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — National Chengchi University said Thursday that a recent review found no evidence of exam leaks in its accounting graduate program entrance exam.
The review followed a social media post stating that some exam questions closely resembled those from a private cram school’s mock tests. The post said two questions, worth a total of 50 points, shared nearly identical logic, wording, and structure with the mock exam, according to CNA.
This prompted public concern about possible leaks. In response, the university convened a panel of four accounting specialists, including two from the university, to conduct an independent analysis of the contested questions.
All four reviewers agreed the questions were distinguishable and functioned as intended. They added that similarities fell within the normal scope of the subject and did not constitute plagiarism or improper information sharing.
The university said the findings were based on detailed content comparisons and analysis of question logic, and emphasized that all admissions exams are created and administered under strict regulations and confidentiality procedures. It also said there was no evidence that exam fairness or admission outcomes were affected.
