TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan’s leading power supply makers on Wednesday reported strong earnings for 2025, driven by growing demand from artificial intelligence applications.
Lite-On Technology posted a net profit of NT$15.1 billion (US$483.6 million), up 27% from last year. Earnings per share, or the amount of profit a company makes per share of stock, reached a record NT$6.64, according to CTEE.
Delta Electronics reported a net profit of NT$60.1 billion, a 70.7% increase year-on-year. Its EPS reached NT$23.14, marking the first time the company’s earnings exceeded twice its share capital.
Lite-On cited stronger demand for AI power systems, compact lighting components, and power supplies for low-Earth orbit satellites. To support growth, the company plans to invest about NT$11 billion this year in production in Taiwan and Vietnam.
Its upcoming products include a high-capacity AI power shelf scheduled for mass production in the second quarter. An advanced power rack prototype is expected to begin limited production later this year.
Delta has leveraged high-voltage power solutions and liquid-cooling technology to improve energy efficiency in AI applications. Several major cloud service providers are testing Delta’s next-generation 800-volt direct current systems, reinforcing the company’s leadership in AI data center power solutions, according to Sinotrade.
The strong performance of both companies reflects rising global demand for AI and high-performance computing. As infrastructure expands, power capacity has faced pressure to keep pace with hardware deployment.
