TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Celebrating its tenth anniversary, Petit Doux, the beloved dining brand under the Sunmai Group, has unveiled the transformation of its original flagship store on Yongkang Street in Taipei.
Known as a pioneer of the "Instagrammable" restaurant scene, the brand is evolving alongside its loyal customers, shifting from a playful aesthetic to a sophisticated, health-conscious sanctuary.
The name petit doux, French for “small sweetness,” reflects the brand’s mission to bring small happiness.
The renovated flagship moves away from flashy decor toward a refined minimalist palette of warm wood and soft grey-white tones. This airy, open layout provides a tranquil corner for urban women and travelers alike to relax and reconnect.

No introduction to Petit Doux is complete without mentioning the wappa pancake. Over the past decade, the brand has sold over 50,000 wappa pancakes, a cumulative height equivalent to 65 Taipei 101 skyscrapers.
Each wappa is handcrafted and baked to order. The signature experience begins with a crisp, fluffy exterior that reveals a bursting core of creamy Mascarpone cheese and chewy mochi. Paired with seasonal fruits and rich sauces, it remains an essential indulgence for visitors from Hong Kong, Macau, and beyond.
As global trends lean toward wellness, Petit Doux has upgraded its menu to offer high-nutrition, low-burden options. The star of this new era is the wild rice light bowl series.
Using Canadian wild rice as a base, these bowls are rich in protein and fiber. Topped with premium proteins like pan-seared salmon, herb-marinated pork chops, or sous vide chicken breast, and balanced with red quinoa and seasonal greens, they offer a guilt-free meal.
Other highlights include Sicilian-style fried vegetables and fresh fruit smoothies, such as the kiwi and red dragon fruit and the apple options, both providing a refreshing fiber boost.
