TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – EVA Air will launch four flights a week between Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport in June, reports said Wednesday.
The US capital will be EVA’s 10th destination in North America, per CNA. The airlines started services in Dallas, Texas, in October.
The flights will start on June 26 using the Boeing 787-9, EVA said. In addition to business and economy, the planes will feature the fourth generation of the premium economy class.
The Washington service brought EVA’s number of flights to North America to 98 per week, the highest frequency of any Taiwanese airline. The links were also practical in providing flights to other parts of Asia for passengers flying to Taoyuan from the US.
The new route will enable travelers to fly directly to a place playing a crucial role in US politics and business, according to EVA. The airline said the new destination complemented its existing network of flights to the West Coast and to the Midwest.
