TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — An Uber Eats customer who spent NT$6 (US$0.03) on a delivery fee won the NT$10 million Special Prize in the latest edition of Taiwan’s receipt lottery, the Ministry of Finance said Wednesday.
Sung Hsiu-ling (宋秀玲), director-general of the Ministry of Finance’s Taxation Administration, said there were 17 Special Prize-winning invoices and 20 Grand Prize-winning invoices during the period, per CNA. Of the Special Prize winners, 10 spent less than NT$100.
Other lucky Special Prize winners included a person who spent NT$11 to rent a GoShare scooter. Another bought NT$23 of food at a 7-Eleven on Jingcheng Road in Taichung’s Nantun District.
A shopper purchased NT$45 of rice wine at Show Ba Department Store on Zhongzheng 4th Road in Kaohsiung’s Qianjin District and also won the Special Prize. The highest-spending winner bought cherries, clothing, and other items totaling NT$5,913 at Costco on Jiuzong Road in Taipei’s Neihu District.
The ministry said 115 winners received the Special Prize, Grand Prize, First Prize, and the NT$1 million cloud receipt prize, totaling more than NT$234.4 million, while other prizes added up to NT$3.29 billion. Of the 115 winners, 85 opted for cloud-based receipts rather than printed ones.
On Jan. 25, the Ministry of Finance announced the winning numbers for the November-December lottery round. The winning numbers were 97023797 for the NT$10 million Special Prize, 00507588 for the NT$2 million Grand Prize, and 92377231, 05232592, and 78125249 for the NT$200,000 First Prize.
The ministry reminded winners from the November-December draw that they have from Feb. 6 to May 5, 2026, to claim their prizes.
