TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The Army Artillery Training Command recently held a training session to strengthen soldiers’ medical care and emergency response abilities.
Through high-intensity, practice-oriented instruction, soldiers rapidly assessed simulated injuries under mock battlefield conditions and carried out treatment in accordance with MARCH PAWS protocols, the Military News Agency reported.
The training covered key skills, including applying tourniquets, controlling massive hemorrhages, airway management, and treating common battlefield injuries. It also incorporated scenario-based drills that required trainees to make decisions on the spot.
A regiment commander was quoted as saying that combat casualty care is crucial to sustaining combat power. Training can effectively improve survival rates on the battlefield and uphold overall combat effectiveness.
The army officer said he hoped participants would continue to share and promote what they learned from the training.
