TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Hotai Motor on Thursday launched its accelerator program, calling for project proposals focused on AI applications for its Toyota, Lexus, and Hino brands.
The automaker said it has partnered with accelerator StarFab to recruit technology startups to develop next-generation technologies, per CNA. The program targets AI-powered operations and decision-making.
Hotai said this year’s accelerator will focus on areas such as customer service and knowledge management platforms for vehicles. Selected teams will work directly with Hotai’s core brands to test and deploy solutions.
Participating startups will gain access to Hotai Group resources, including vehicle data and business sites, to support proof-of-concept testing, the company added.
Hotai said selected teams will also be recommended for the Google for Startups Cloud program, which provides cloud credits, technical training, and curated resources. The company said these tools are intended to lower development costs and speed up scaling.
The Hotai Accelerator was established in 2024 to respond to rapid changes driven by AI and the Internet of Things. The first cohort attracted nearly 100 startup applicants and resulted in several proof-of-concept projects
