TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan will send 57 tech startups to CES next year as the government pushes AI innovation onto the global stage, the National Science and Technology Council said Wednesday.
NSTC Minister Wu Cheng-wen (吳誠文) said the startups will exhibit with 83 suppliers at the electronics show, which opens on Jan. 6 in Las Vegas, per CNA.
Wu said Taiwan’s CES pavilion will carry the theme “Daily Taiwan,” focusing on food, healthcare, and mobility. The exhibits will highlight AI applications integrated into everyday life.
He said the government’s new top 10 AI initiatives aim to push startups beyond supply-chain roles toward developing complete systems. AI, Wu said, should become a tool used across industries and by society as a whole.
The NSTC said the selected startups demonstrate innovation backed by domestic and international supply chains. It plans to continue aiding firms with global expansion.
