TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — National Sun Yat-sen University has teamed up with IBM in Taiwan to roll out new AI micro-credit courses aimed at helping students prepare for work.
CNA reported Tuesday that the courses focus on real-world AI tools and business cases so students can build job-ready skills. The university said companies are increasingly looking for talent that understands AI and knows how to apply it.
IBM AI and human resources advisers will visit classes to discuss hiring and demonstrate how AI can help write job postings, screen resumes, and prepare for interviews. The examples are based on IBM’s own hiring practices.
The courses have drawn students from six colleges, ranging from undergraduates to PhD candidates. Many students said the classes felt practical and helped ease their job-hunting stress.
The university said the micro-credit system allows schools to bring in industry partners quickly and keep courses flexible. Taiwan IBM said it hopes the partnership will help train students who can use AI in a smart and responsible way.
