TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The North Concourse in Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport’s Terminal 3 will officially open next Thursday.
The concourse is the first facility of Terminal 3 to become operational and has been in trial service since Dec. 1, CNA reported. The main Terminal 3 building and the South Concourse are expected to be completed and opened in 2027.
Minister of Transportation and Communications Chen Shih-kai (陳世凱) said inbound passenger flow has been smooth so far, with three escalators handling crowd movement. For passengers who require wheelchairs or have limited mobility, two large elevators are available. He said he hoped travelers would immediately feel a sense of “friendliness and ease of use” upon arriving at Taoyuan Airport.
Chen emphasized that the facility is still in the trial operation stage and encouraged passengers, airlines, and flight crews to provide suggestions if they believe passenger flow or other aspects could be improved. Any necessary adjustments will be made before next Thursday. He added that feedback would also be taken into account for the main Terminal 3 building and other future facilities.
