TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Tigerair Taiwan is recruiting 60 new members for its cabin staff, while adding seven days off per year for all its employees, reports said Friday.
The extra days off will come on top of official holidays, beginning Jan. 1, per CNA. The new recruitment drive will open up for registration next week, on Dec. 15.
To qualify for the cabin staff jobs, candidates must be college graduates or imminent graduates, with Japanese or Korean speaking ability a plus, the company said. Registration for the job offerings closes at the end of
Dec. 28.
Following a review of the information submitted by the applicants, the airline will conduct a first round of interviews on Jan. 17 and a second round on Jan. 24. The selected applicants will start training in different shifts beginning May before joining the airline as full-time staff.
As to the seven extra days off, all employees will be allowed to choose them freely, the company said. The low-cost airline owned by Taiwan’s main carrier, China Airlines, described the new holiday system as part of its efforts to provide staff with better working conditions.
