TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Pingtung County said Wednesday the city will host its Christmas Festival starting Friday with lights, bubble snow, and weekend shows along Pingtung Park to Pingtung Station.
Pingtung County Government said the festival will display 14 light shows and three themed trees that guide visitors from the station to the park. It added that all displays will turn on from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. each night, including expanded setups along Zhonghua Road and Minquan Road.
A street market with about 70 vendors will open on Zhonghua Road on Saturday and feature food, crafts, and toys. The county government said shoppers can take part in a raffle after spending a set amount for a chance to take home prizes like an iPad, per CNA.
The county officials said Pingtung Park will also offer a free Christmas photo booth and four small shops selling hot cocoa, pies, and other snacks. They encouraged people to plan a visit and enjoy a warm holiday night surrounded by lights.
