TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — China Airlines on Wednesday launched Taiwan’s first Disney-themed plane, sporting ”Zootopia 2” livery on its maiden flight from Taipei to Los Angeles.
The Boeing 777-300ER was unveiled at a Taoyuan press event with China Airlines Chair Kao Hsing-huang (高星潢) and President Chen Han-ming (陳漢銘) present, per CNA. The plane features “Zootopia 2” designs from check-in through landing, including themed boarding passes, baggage tags, and meal packaging, per UDN.
Characters from the film also appear on board and passengers can watch the movie through the in-flight entertainment system.

Kao said the jet is the first Disney-themed aircraft in Taiwan and will mainly serve the Los Angeles route. He noted plans to expand to Ontario, Bangkok, Tokyo, and Osaka, as well as future Disney collaborations.
China Airlines also announced plans to introduce 787-9 aircraft next year to optimize long-haul routes, aiming to increase its passenger fleet to 75 planes by year-end.
