TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Gigabyte Technology said the company’s AI server orders are secured through the end of next year, which is expected to drive double-digit revenue growth year-on-year, CNA reported.
At an investor conference, Gigabyte reported record revenue of NT$247.5 billion (US$8.1 billion) for the first three quarters, up 24% year-on-year. Third-quarter net profit rose 58% to NT$3.06 billion, while net profit for the first three quarters totaled NT$9.22 billion, up 30% year-on-year.
In the third quarter, server sales accounted for about 60% of Gigabyte’s revenue, with AI servers making up more than 80% of that segment. Graphics cards contributed 25%, while motherboards accounted for around 10%.
To boost server production, Gigabyte invested about NT$800 million this year to expand lines in Taiwan, Malaysia, and the US, with up to NT$1.2 billion planned for next year. The company is collaborating with South Korea’s SK Telecom on AI data centers and high-performance computing. It has also partnered with Dubai-based Kerno Enterprises to establish server production and service facilities to tap into the Middle East market.
Gigabyte said AI server shipments for Nvidia are on track, with HGX, GB200, and GB300 series deliveries proceeding as scheduled. The company expects the GB series to account for about 20% of its AI server revenue in the fourth quarter.
In September, CoreWeave, an AI startup backed by Nvidia, received an order from Nvidia worth NT$190 billion to purchase computing capacity through April 2032. The deal is expected to benefit CoreWeave’s Taiwanese supply chain, including Wistron, Gigabyte, and In Win Development.
Gigabyte said it has stocked memory to meet one quarter’s demand amid shortages and price increases. The company added that it may raise product prices if necessary while coordinating with partners.
To support the company's expansion, it plans to buy a building near its Xindian headquarters in New Taipei for NT$1.4 billion.
